LCI Live Stream

La Chaine Info, part of TF1 Group, is a French free-to-air news channel. LCI was inaugurated by Christian Dutoit on 24 June 1994 as part of media group TF1 as a pay television channel and its launch was broadcast live over TF1.

At 8:30 pm, Francoise-Marie Morel hosted a live television news program. As the inaugural guest, Etienne Mougeotte, CEO of the channel was present as one of its guests.

From 2004 to December 2006, Dfree multiplex broadcasted this channel alongside TF1 on digital terrestrial television in Italy.

In 2006, two mentions of their website appeared in the James Bond movie Casino Royale without payment from them; an event for which they did not provide compensation.

On 5 April 2016, Channel 26 went free-to-air and started broadcasting digital terrestrial television in France.

Since October 2022, LCI and other free DTT channels of the TF1 group have been available free to air via Astra 1 satellite. This follows an interruption in encrypted transmissions to Canal+ and TNTSAT subscribers during a commercial dispute; yet even after these encrypted transmissions resumed within their bouquets, this free-to-air broadcast continued and LCI can thus be received free-of-charge throughout most of Continental Europe.
